EDF - Hydrodemolition of Cooling Water Intake Jetty When inspections on the Cooling Water Intake Jetty at Hunterston Nuclear Power Station concluded that high chloride levels in the concrete from the marine environment had resulted in severe degradation, the Jetty became subject of a programme of work to repair and refurbish the structure, extending its use to 2024.
Crossrail - Hydrodemolition of Diaphragm Wall When RGL were approached by the joint venture of BAM Nuttall and Kier (BNK) in August 2012, they needed our assistance with the selective removal of concrete in the top 1 metre of the diaphragm wall on one of their Crossrail sites in London. This tricky concrete Hydrodemolition task would remove cement and aggregate and leave steel reinforcements intact, ready to be integrated to a capping beam.
