Tank Lining Removal

Whether using remote controlled equipment or confined space entry, RGL are able remove most linings or prepare any surface within a tank or vessel. Removal of nearly all lining types is possible, including; cementitious, Epoxy or GRP.

Over time the protective coatings that line tanks can become damaged or eroded and need to be replaced. In other situations the tank structure itself can be affected and the lining needs to be removed to allow for inspection and possible repair before re-application of a new lining.

Our remote controlled coating removal machines mean that tanks that were previously inaccessible can now be safely renovated. RGL can select the correct system for your needs from the manufacturers such as Stoneage, Woma and Uraca. By using a combination of our 3 dimensional cleaning head systems we ensure all areas of the surface are reached.

For certain tanks, where access is good and there are no toxins in the environment, man entry may still prove the most effective method of surface preparation. In these instances RGL will use one of its Confined Space Entry trained jetting teams to get the job done.
