RGL have completed many projects on a wide range of vessel types from small pleasure craft to aircraft carriers.

We carry out Ultra High Pressure (UHP) water blasting on steel hulled ships, boats and barges. Our UHP systems are suitable to clean virtually any other type of marine structure. They are capable of removing chalking on coatings such as epoxies as well as removing rust and scale.

UHP blasting is a widely used environmentally friendly way of preparing surfaces for painting as a replacement for abrasive blasting. It leaves no mess from grit or other blast media, no contamination from dust. Most importantly clear up and waste disposal costs are vastly reduced when compared to abrasive blasting. With UHP water blasting once the waste is dry; it can be swept up and disposed of quickly and safely.

Because our UHP equipment is trailer mounted we are able to attend to requirements anywhere in the United Kingdom.

We have dealt with ships in dry dock or smaller vessels on slipways. Also we have had to ensure the water used is captured, cleaned and in some cases recycled.

Services RGL can offer:

Ship Hull preparation coating and corrosion removal is the most widely used service we supply. Our UHP “Limpet Crawler” is used to vacuum recover all waste water and debris.

Surface preparation by removal of TBT anti fouling. Waste Water Recycling is offered where practical.

Tank and Vessel cleaning for cleaning Ballast Tanks or other vessels confined space entry teams may be required whilst others are done using special remote control Water Jetting equipment to remove linings or old coatings and corrosion.

We can operate 7 days a week 24 hours a day, throughout the UK.
