Hydrotesting

RGL offer an on site turnkey service Hydrotesting pipes and vessels of almost any size and configuration. We have capacity to test at up to 3000 bar.

Hydrotesting/Hydrostatic tests are conducted under the constraints of either the industry's or the customer's specifications. The vessel is filled with a nearly incompressible liquid - usually water and examined for leaks or permanent changes in shape. The test pressure is always considerably higher than the operating pressure to give a margin for safety. Hydrotesting of pipe, pipelines and vessels is done to expose defective materials or manufacturing faults. Hydrotesting proves a system is safe to operate at its design pressure, exposes possible leaks and serves as a final validation of the integrity of the constructed system.
