Concrete Scabbling

Like many other surfaces, concrete can require some preparation before being coated. Whether the coating is additional concrete or an anti-slip layer, UHP Water Jetting is a quick and efficient option.

Using either Hand Held Lances with rotating nozzles, for small or tricky areas, or one of our fully automated robotic systems, for larger scale jobs, UHP scabbling can create the ideal profile to ensure the best possible bonding surface is provided. The depth of the scabbling is controlled to suit the size of the aggregate and hardness of concrete.

As well as preparing concrete for the application of a new surface this method can be utilised to clean away unwanted deposits such as rubber, oil or even contamination from radioactive sources.
