Concrete Mixer Drum Cleaning

RGL offer remote control cleaning of lorry mounted and on site batching plant concrete mixer drums.

By using water jets, no damage is caused to the drum or blades. Our remote control jets are deployed from outside and there is no risk associated with putting men inside a confined space.

Over time concrete builds up on the inside of the drums and greatly affects the efficiency both of the mixing and the transportation. Large amounts of additional fuel are required to transport the extra weight and also drive the mixer drum. If you multiply this extra weight over a whole fleet of trucks and then over a period of time savings in fuel costs made by having your fleet regularly cleaned could be significant.

In addition to the above there are benefits to be had from increased volume within the drum and the reduced chance of batch contamination. Drums running out of balance shorten the life of bearings which in turn mean trucks could be out of service for extended periods and high repair costs incurred.
